In July 2005, the Law School building was named Hazel Hall after John T. Hazel, Jr., a prominent attorney and real estate developer who led the effort to help Mason acquire a law school in 1979. The building, which originally opened in 1999, spans four floors and includes classroom, library, and administrative space, as well as two levels of interior parking.

January 2011 saw the opening of Founders Hall, a multi-story building housing university programs based at the Arlington Campus.

The Campus Bookstore, Parking Services, Information Desk and other offices shared with the greater Arlington Campus are housed in Founders Hall, which is connected to Hazel Hall. An Einstein Bagels shop also is located on the ground floor of Founders Hall.
