Trial Advocacy
General Description: Continuation of skills of trial and courtroom argument with emphasis on individual technique and jury persuasion. In-depth analysis of criminal and civil cases of complex nature. As Advanced Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy for Competitors focus on the same matters, a student who completes one of the courses may not register for the other. The Advanced Trial Advocacy for Competitors course focuses on the same matters, but its enrollment is limited to students participating in extramural trial advocacy competitions. Evidence and Trial Advocacy are prerequisites to both Advanced Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy for Competitors, and both courses are graded "CR."
