On
Saturday, November 16, 2002, the Law School held a reunion
honoring International School of Law graduates
in the classes of 1975-1980, as well as GMU alumni classes
of 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, and 2002. The International School
of Law is the predecessor to the George Mason University
School of Law. At the 2002 Alumni Reunion, former students,
professors and others from the International School of Law
were on hand to participate in the celebration together
with colleagues and associates from GMU.
Early in the evening, an open house and cocktail hour were held in the old law school building, which included exhibitions by students, an alumni memory lane viewing and a preview of the planned Arlington campus expansion. Dinner was served in the atrium of the current law school building, followed by remarks from Dean Grady, memories from alumni representatives, and an awards presentation. The evening also included a dedication of the Cornerstone commemorating John Brabner-Smith.
