Business Career Opportunities
General Information
Accounting firms, consulting firms and investment bankers have recently realized the value of a legal education and, accordingly, now recruit law school graduates for non-legal employment. These entities understand that law school graduates have received training that may make them invaluable additions to practices historically reserved for those having MBA degrees.
Many of these entities recruit at business schools in the fall to fill summer associate and permanent positions at that time. If you are interested in pursuing employment with one of these types of employers, you should verify the application deadlines with the employer. Also talk to the counselors in the Career, Academic and Alumni Services office and the MBA placement office - we may be able to assist you in preparing for the application and interview process.
Additionally, the George Mason University School of Management provides career counseling and job search information to students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate business programs. Law students interested in business career opportunities should visit the School of Management's career services web page to learn more about the business employers who recruit at George Mason and for job search tips.
