Kari Sanderson graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1998. While in law school, she served as Senior Interdisciplinary Programs Editor of the Roundtable, a journal of interdisciplinary legal studies. After graduation, Kari began her practice as a litigation associate at Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon in Chicago. Kari focused on family law matters, but also worked in the areas of insurance defense and mass tort litigation. She practiced corporate law at Sachnoff & Weaver, LLP, where she was primarily involved in lending aspects of leveraged acquisitions.

In August, 2008, Kari Sanderson joined George Mason University School of Law as the Assistant Director of the Legal Research, Writing, and Analysis program.
