Biographical Sketch

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF LAW SAMSON VERMONT recently transitioned from law practice to academics after earning an LLM from the University of Virginia School of Law and then completing a stint at the University of Michigan Law School, where he was the Humphrey Fellow in Law and Economics. Before moving into academics, he practiced patent law in the Washington, DC, office of Hunton & Williams, where he specialized in chemical, biotech and pharmaceutical inventions. He is the founder and former editor-in-chief of the monthly periodical Patent Strategy & Management and a former Faculty editor-in-chief of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. He is also a member of the Patent Bar, the Georgia Bar, and the DC Bar.
