Dear Alumni,

Your Law Alumni Association board members and I hope that you will support our law school by participating in the inaugural Mason Law Alumni Class Challenge.

As you know, Mason ranks among the top law schools in many key categories. As alumni, we have a responsibility to support our law school in whatever way we can, especially with annual financial support.

The goal of the Class Challenge is to increase communication between alumni and the law school and to increase alumni participation in annual giving to Mason Law. The development office is seeking a lead “class agent” for each class. Some classes already have their lead agents:

1975 Roger Courtney
1978 Jim Kane
1980 Charlie Fritts
1982 Craig Benson Young
1983 Karen Field
1984 Mark James
1985 Penny Welke
1986 Rick Lash
1989 Jim Hyland
1993 David Landers
1996 Kimberly Welch
1997 Matthew Sheldon
1998 Bryan Haynes
1999 Frank Vlossak
2000 Chris Soucie
2003 Anne Dailey
2004 Suzzette Rodriguez DeMers; Christopher DeMers
2005 Beth Shaw
2007 Amanda Kimble
2008 Gene Granger
2010 Frank Webb

If your class is not represented, please e-mail ccorish@gmu.edu and inquire as to why.

The winners of the challenge will be:

•Class with highest alumni participation rate
      •Class with most alumni gifts
•Class with the greatest increase in participation rate

•Class that generates most dollars given to Mason Law

Recognition will be given to those classes that increase their alumni participation rate by five percent or more over FY10. See the law school's annual honor roll page to learn where your class finished last fiscal year.

The Class Challenge is a great way to support Mason Law and have fun while doing so. Not only could your class earn some good-natured “bragging rights” and publicity, but you also will help raise the law school’s alumni participation rate—a key metric of Tier I law schools like George Mason.

                Sincerely,

                David Ginsberg ('96)
                President
