PC/Laptop

Overview

Presenters can show the output of the computer at the podium, on the judges' bench, or from a laptop at either of those locations or at the counsel tables.

Instructions

  1. Activate the "PC" Menu:
    Login > Video > PC.
    Note: If you don't see the "Audio" option on the screen, select "Return" (bottom left of screen) until this option is available.

  2. To use the Judge's PC, select the "Judge's PC" icon.
    Note: If the screen is blank, you may need to turn on the computer, which is under the desk at the left of the judges' bench.
  3. To use the Podium PC, select the "Podium PC" icon.
    Note: If the screen is blank, you may need to turn on the computer, which is under the podium. You will need a key to open the podium cabinet. Refer to the Help Page for more information.
  4. To show the output of a laptop from the Plaintiff's Table, select the "Plaintiff's Laptop" icon. You will need to connect the video output port of the laptop to the laptop cable on the Plaintiff's Table and (optionally) the audio output of the laptop to the audio cable (which is connected to the video cable).
  5. To show the output of a laptop from the Judge's Bench, select the "Judge's Laptop" icon. You will need to connect the video output port of the laptop to the laptop cable on the Judge's Bench and (optionally) the audio output of the laptop to the audio cable (which is connected to the video cable).
  6. To show the output of a laptop from the Podium, select the "Podium Laptop" icon. You will need to connect the video output port of the laptop to the laptop cable on the Podium and (optionally) the audio output of the laptop to the audio cable (which is connected to the video cable).
    Note: If the connection cable is not already plugged into the podium, it may be inside the podium itself. The podium should be locked. If you need a key, or if you cannot find the cable, view the help page for the contact info of people who can contact.
  7. To show the output of a laptop from the Defense Table, select the "Defense Laptop" icon. You will need to connect the video output port of the laptop to the laptop cable on the Defense Table and (optionally) the audio output of the laptop to the audio cable (which is connected to the video cable).
