C-SPAN Founder and CEO Brian Lamb to Speak -- Wednesday, September 14, 2005
Brian Lamb, founder and CEO of C-SPAN will be a guest speaker at George Mason University School of Law at noon on Wednesday, September 14, 2005. Lamb's lecture, which will take place in Room 221 of Hazel Hall on the Arlington campus, is open to interested members of the law school and university community.
C-SPAN, which debuted in March 1979, is the nation's eighth-largest cable network an delivers public affairs programming to most of the country's cable and satellite customers, globally to Internet users through C-SPAN.org, and to radio audiences through C-SPAN radio. In addition to his duties as head of the C-SPAN organization, Lamb has been a continuous on-air presence since C-SPAN's inception, interviewing six U.S. presidents and numerous foreign leaders over the years. He host Washington Journal, a morning political call-in program and moderates Q and A, an evening interview program.
Prior to Lamb's address at noon, he will be a guest speaker for students of the Communications Policy Law Seminar taught by Professors Lisa Sockett and Tom Whitehead.
