Professor Katzen Testifies Before House Subcommittee

Visiting Professor Sally Katzen provided testimony before a March 8 hearing of the House Government Reform Committee's Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee. The subject of the hearing was "The Paperwork Reduction Act at 25: Opportunities to Strengthen and Improve the Law."

Professor Katzen, who teaches Administrative Law, served as Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget (the senior adviser to the President on regulatory matters); she then became the Deputy Director of the National Economic Council in the White House ('98-'99), and returned to OMB in '99-2001 as the Deputy Director for Management. Before her government service, she was a partner in the Washington, DC, law firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, specializing in administrative law and legislative matters.
