JLEP New Applicant Information Sessions, February 15, 2007

We are pleased to announce The Journal of Law, Economics, & Policy's (JLEP) New Applicant Information Session for the 2007-2008 year!

In its fourth year, JLEP's goal is to encourage interesting, creative, and thought-provoking debate on topics related to law and economics.  We achieve this goal through publication of a peer-review journal, sponsorship of expert-panel discussions related to law and economics, and annual symposia on current topics in law, economics and policy.

With a Board of Advisors that includes a Who's-Who of law and economics, including two Nobel Laureates in economics, JLEP has a promising future ahead. The realization of our goals requires the dedicated work of current and future members, and we invite you to join us on this exciting journey. Started with an entrepreneurial spirit, JLEP is looking for a wide range of talents, skills, and interest!

In addition to participating in the traditional tasks of a journal (including bluebooking, editing, and publication), our members have the opportunity to participate in soliciting and identifying target articles, planning and managing the annual symposium, extending the reach and reputation of the journal through technology, and organizing and managing lecture series events.

All current 1D, 1E, 2D, 2E, 3E and LLMs in good academic standing are eligible and are encouraged to apply. Even those who are convinced that they are not "journal material" or those who have not considered joining a journal in the past are encouraged to attend the information session.

The 2007-2008 New Applicant Information Sessions will be held: Thursday, February 15, 2007, room 255, 12-1 pm and 5-6 pm.

At this session we will explain the application process and give you a chance to meet Members and Editors to ask questions. Refreshments will be served.  If you cannot attend, please request the application packet by sending an e-mail to jlep@gmu.edu. Hope to see you on the 15th!
