Senator Webb to Host Symposium at Mason Law on October 15
On Wednesday, October 15 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) and the Administration of Justice Department of George Mason University will host a symposium entitled "Drugs in America: Trafficking, Policy and Sentencing." This event will be held at the George Mason University School of Law.
Moderated by Senator Webb, three panels of experts will examine drug distribution in the U.S; law enforcement practices; and punitive vs. public health responses to drug abuse.
Since entering the U.S. Congress, Senator Webb has hosted two Senate hearings on the causes of America's mass incarceration rate. He is committed to finding solutions that are both responsive to our needs for law and order, and fairer to those ensnared by the system.
All members of the GMU community are invited to attend and are asked to RSVP to Kate Zinsser, (703) 993-9699 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
