Career Transitions and Job Search Strategies Program, June 4
The Office of Alumni Services will present a program called "WHERE TO NEXT? Career Transitions and Job Search Strategies" on Thursday, June 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 120 at the School of Law. Alumni are invited to attend this panel discussion and networking reception to learn how to approach career transitions—whether planned or unplanned.
In today's economy, the legal job market continues to change, and this program is intended to provide tools and strategies to help you through a current job search or to prepare for a future career transition. The panel includes legal career professionals who will share their expertise and views regarding the current state of the legal market and how to manage it.
- Dan Binstock is the managing director of the Washington, D.C., office of BCG Search. Mr. Binstock works with associates, partners, and practice groups in the D.C. area to recruit and place candidates.
- Katy Montgomery is a managing director of Major, Lindsey & Africa's D.C. office. Ms. Montgomery specializes in law firm placements and select in-house counsel positions.
- Kate Neville is the founder of Neville Career Consulting. Ms. Neville helps individual attorneys identify their full range of options, whether within the law or transitioning to another field, to successfully pursue opportunities in their areas of interest.
At 6:30 p.m., all participants are invited to attend a networking cocktail reception. During the reception you will have the opportunity to meet the panelists and other legal recruiting and placement professionals.
Alumni at all stages of their careers are encouraged to attend.
