Bernstein Featured in Cato Institute Book Forum

Billed by the Cato Institute as "the nation's leading scholar on Lochner v. New York," Professor David Bernstein was a featured participant in a book forum sponsored by that organization on September 20, 2010, in Washington, D.C.

The book for which the forum was held was Pacific Legal Foundation principal attorney Timothy Sandefur's The Right to Earn a Living. In it Sandefur reviews the history of the Constitution's protections for economic freedom and discusses cases in which he has helped entrepreneurs avoid intrusive actions of the government.

Joining Sandefur for the discussion were Bernstein and Clark Neily, who heads the Institute for Justice's litigation in defense of entrepreneurs. Event moderator was Roger Pilon, Vice President for Legal Affairs for the Cato Institute.
