13th Annual Judicial & Legislative Reception Takes Place May 19

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PARKING FOR THE EVENT

Parking Information

Due to the ongoing construction of Founders Hall, parking is limited. The law school is located between the Virginia Square and Clarendon Metros. In addition to metered street parking on Fairfax Drive, parking also is available to all guests in the parking garage located in the Foundation Building (SRA) located at 3434 Washington Boulevard.  The entrance to the garage is located between 3434 Washington Boulevard and the Giant grocery store at the traffic light. All spaces from the B1 level and up belong to Mason, except those specifically marked for retail or for a specific business. The spaces belonging to SRA are not accessible by Mason guests until 6:00 pm.

To access the law school’s Levy Atrium in Hazel Hall, exit the garage at the pedestrian bridge leading the Original Building courtyard, shared with the FDIC. Turn left at the sidewalk on Fairfax Drive. If exiting the garage on Washington Boulevard, turn right on Washington Boulevard and right at Kirkwood Drive.

Reserved parking is available to judges, legislators and Platinum and Gold Sponsor guests by invitation. Guests with reserve parking will be sent a parking permit for the Truland Building parking lot, located at 3330 Washington Boulevard. Underground parking may be accessed from Washington Boulevard and surface lot parking may be accessed from Kirkwood Drive.

Maps and directions to the law school can be found on the web site, including a printable map of the Arlington campus.

ABOUT THE JLR

In 1998 the Judicial and Legislative Reception began as an opportunity to recognize and honor those who serve the people of our region in their capacities on the bench or in an elected position.

The reception features music, food and wine from across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Each year the event has been a great success, and this year’s JLR will be no different, showcasing several Virginia wineries and offering appetizers and desserts chosen to complement the wine selections.

The event has been characterized as “the premier legal event in Northern Virginia” with attorneys, judges, legislators and Mason Law alumni looking forward to this annual gathering. Governors, members of Congress, state legislators, and federal and state court judges from Virginia and the District of Columbia have attended the JLR in past years.

George Mason University School of Law and the Law Alumni Association thank all of the sponsors of the 13th Annual Judicial & Legislative Reception. We extend special thanks to our Gold Sponsors, Jack White ('86), Proprietor of New Point Oyster Company, LLC., and Consumer Litigation Associates, P.C., with offices in Fairfax, Newport News, and San Francisco.

We look forward to your joining us as a sponsor and a guest at this wonderful event.

Plan to join us on May 19! Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. event, which will run until 8:30 in the evening.
