Mossoff an IP Webinar Panelist

Professor Adam Mossoff participated as a panelist in a webinar addressing the recently filed complaint in Novartis v. Kappos, speaking on the issue of Novartis's claim that the PTO's new regulations on patent term adjustments were a taking of its property under the Fifth Amendment.

The August 25 webinar on current topics in intellectual property was sponsored by the Intellectual Property Owners Association and hosted by Pamela Sherrid, former editor of IP Law & Business magazine.

Mossoff was joined as a panelist by Jack Brennan, a principal in the New York office of Fish & Richardson; Patricia Carson, a partner in the New York office of Kaye Scholer; and Charles Van Horn, who chairs Finnegan's patent prosecution section. As a group, the panel considered the issues raised by the Novartis suit, its chances of success, and what other patent owners should do now.
