Rao Moderates Discussion of War on Terror

On January 27 Professor Neomi Rao moderated a discussion at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., in which panelists considered progress made in the War on Terror and discussed what has transpired, what has gone wrong, and what the nation should expect next. Topics covered included detention, surveillance, interrogation, and trials.

The event was sponsored by The Federalist Society's International and National Security Law Practice Group and the Center for Law and Counterterrorism. Panelists included Steven Engel of Dechert LLP; Neal Katyal, principal deputy solicitor general at the Justice Department; David Rivlin Jr., partner at Baker and Hostetler LLP; and Stephen Vladeck, professor at the American University Washington College of Law.
