Mossoff Speaks at World IP Day Event at PTO
On April 26 Professor Adam Mossoff spoke at a conference hosted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as part of the World Intellectual Property Day observance. Entitled Visionary Innovators and Intellectual Property, the event's purpose was to examine the importance of technological innovation and visionaries, as well as the social balance and value of Intellectual Property in society, and to discuss the topic from various perspectives, including effects generated by the America Invents Act of 2011.
Mossoff spoke on the topic of "Promoting Innovation From Sewing Machines to Smart Phones."
Among those participating in the conference were James Pooley, Deputy Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization; Bryan Geurts, Chief Patent Counsel at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; and Teresa Rea, Deputy Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
