Zywicki Discusses Dodd Frank and the Rule of Law on Larry Parks Show
Professor Todd Zywicki was a June 7 guest on the Larry Parks Show in New York for an interview about how the Dodd Frank Act is in conflict with the concept of the Rule of Law.
Zywicki defined the Rule of Law as the defining principle of a free society and a cornerstone of economic prosperity, saying its formal elements, clarity, and uniform application provide a zone of protection for individual rights by constraining arbitrary actions of government.
In contrast, Zywicki considered Dodd Frank in direct conflict with the Rule of Law, in fact weakening it by its vague terms, bureaucratic rule-making, and arbitrary enforcement provisions.
