14th Richard S. Murphy Pool and Dart Tournament February 1
Plan to put Saturday, February 1, on your calendar to come out and support a great cause in memory of Professor Richard Murphy via the 14th Richard S. Murphy Pool and Dart Tournament, to be held at Car Pool, 4000 Fairfax Drive in Arlington. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., with the tournament start scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
All money raised at this event goes to the Richard S. Murphy Scholarship Fund for students. Play or just cheer on your favorite team competing for pride and a trophy! The Student Bar Association and Alumni Services are providing food and drinks, so don’t miss out. The tournament is a popular tradition with the entire George Mason Law community, and we look forward to increasing the scholarship significantly again this year.
The tournament is open to all School of Law graduates, students, faculty, staff, significant others and spouses, and friends. The tournament consists of two-person teams, with a required donation of $40 per team. Register online today for the pool tournament and encourage others to sign up for some good-natured competition. For a new twist, we are opening up a Dart Tournament, as well, with a $40 team registration donation. If you are interested in the 301 Dart Tournament, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Alumni Board also welcomes raffle items to help raise more money for Professor Murphy’s scholarship fund. To donate items, contact Dana Fallon at email@example.com.
