Krauss Interviewed on ABC 7 News
Professor Michael Krauss appeared on WJLA, ABC affiliate in the Washington, D.C. area, on Friday, May 9. Krauss commented on a free speech and defamation case in Virginia that raises the question of whether a business has the right to subpoena an internet service to get the names and addresses of people who have left anonymous negative criticisms.
Krauss said, “I think the nation is looking at this with great interest . . . the courts are very clear that anonymous speech is protected, but the courts are just as clear that libel, written defamation is not protected.”
