At George Mason University School of Law we recognize that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We value diversity not in an attempt to impress outsiders, but because we have found that our students are best prepared and our faculty is best served by being exposed to individuals who bring with them a variety of ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Being educated and trained here will take you beyond merely learning about cases and legal theories; you also will learn a great deal about the people who make up our world and the institutions we create and depend on.

We are extremely proud of the close-knit community we have worked very hard to create. We seek to provide an environment where all of our students can not only succeed, but where they will be challenged to build upon their potential, grow, and develop the skills that will ensure their success in future years.

We hope that you can join us and help us build on the success we have had thus far.

He currently serves on the Judiciary Committee as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security.

Speaking to a large gathering of students and other members of the Mason community, Rep. Scott highlighted the importance of the legal profession in ensuring effective legislation.
