Tim Geverd, Class of ’14

Litigation Associate, Kirkland & Ellis

A graduate of the Class of 2014, Tim Geverd was drawn to the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University in part because of the faculty. “Mason has what I think is the best faculty in the country,” he says. “What is more, given Mason’s small size and great teacher to student ratio, each faculty member is at every student’s disposal, and their doors are always open. This really sets Mason apart, and it contributes to Mason’s ability to consistently produce fine young lawyers.”

One of those young lawyers is Tim himself. After law school, Tim completed a prestigious federal clerkship in Georgia and then joined Kirkland & Ellis as a litigation associate in its Washington, DC office. The best part of his new job, says Tim, is being challenged every day. “I work in an environment where no two days are alike and every day presents a new, novel legal problem to address. This, coupled with the fact that I am privileged to work in an office full of great lawyers and people, makes every day a rewarding learning experience.”
