When Professor Emeritus of Law JOHN L. COSTELLO came to Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, he brought with him 20 years of experience with the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps. As George Mason's specialist in Virginia practice, Professor Costello has written Virginia Criminal Law and Procedure, Virginia Remedies, Outline of Virginia Practice, and Cases and Materials for Virginia Remedies.
He earned his AB from Dickinson College (1952), his JD from Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University (1955), his MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (1964), and his LLM from the University of Virginia (1975).
