As the Director of Bar Support, Amanda Compton provides general informational and academic support to law students directly related to their preparation for the bar exam, both while they are in law school and after they have graduated.
Prior to joining Antonin Scalia Law School, Professor Compton was a tenured law professor at Charleston School of Law, a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University, and an adjunct professor in Stetson University’s study abroad program. She taught in the areas of Intellectual Property, Property, Wills and Trusts, and Professional Responsibility. She also served as an intellectual property associate with Barnes & Thornburg, LLP and Ice Miller; and was Senior Counsel with the Sears Intellectual Property Management Group.
Professor Compton devotes much of her free time focusing on social activism and engaging in pro bono work in the areas of trademark and copyright law.
Professor Compton is a member of the Indiana and United States Supreme Court bars.
