Biographical Sketch

Jordan Neyland is an Assistant Professor of Law at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University.

Professor Neyland’s research interests span law, finance, economics, and accounting. He primarily examines corporate governance, fiduciary duties, corporate acquisitions, and agency problems in financial markets. His work is published in the Journal of Accounting and Economics and has been presented at several leading conferences in law, finance, and accounting, both in the US and internationally. His work is frequently cited in popular news outlets, including the Wall Street Journal and Marketwatch.com.

Professor Neyland’s teaching experience includes courses on financial institutions, bankruptcy, corporate finance, and mergers & acquisitions. He received a BA in economics from the University of Texas, a JD from the University of Houston, and a PhD in finance from the University of Arizona. He has previously worked as a Senior Lecturer of Finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne (Australia).
