Professor David Schleicher was a panelist in a February 15 discussion dealing with state fiscal crises that was sponsored by e21, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Washington, D.C., and dedicated to economic research and public policy

The panel discussion, entitled, "States in Trouble: Bankruptcy, Bailout, or Default?" included arguments pertaining to a proposal by Professor David Skeel for a bankruptcy law for states experiencing fiscal emergencies. Moderator for the event was CNBC's Nicole Lapin, and panelists, in addition to Schleicher and Skeel, included Nicole Gelinas, Searle Freedom Trust Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and Senior Policy Advisor at e21; Clayton Gillette, Max E.
