Mossoff Speaks at Congressional Briefing

Professor Adam Mossoff spoke at a May 30 briefing for congressional members and staff, industry and technology stakeholders, and the public interest community on whether the current patent system acts to encourage or discourage innovation. The event took place at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill.

Titled "If Patent Litigation is Strangling High Tech Innovation, When Will Congress Act?," the event planners aimed for a balanced and diverse set of perspectives on the topic.

Joining Mossoff in the discussion were Scott Burk, Senior Vice President and Chief Intellectual Property Officer, MOSAID Technologies; Matt Schruers, Vice President, Law & Policy, Computer & Communications Industry Association; Tim Sparapani, Vice President of Law, Policy and Government Affairs, Application Developers Alliance; and Eric Hinkes, Legal Policy Fellow, Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory, who acted as moderator.
