Somin Speaks on Democracy and Political Ignorance

On October 3, Professor Ilya Somin appeared at Columbia University  Law School as a guest speaker at a Federalist Society event to discuss his new book, Democracy and Political Ignorance: Why Smaller Government is Smarter.

Somin's book, which is available now, explains why widespread voter ignorance strengthens the case for federalism, constitutional limits on government power, and judicial review.

Commentary at the event was provided by Professor Philip Hamburger, Maurice and Hilda Friedman Professor of Law at the Columbia University School of Law.
