Alden Addresses Jurists from China and Bosnia-Herzegovina
In September 2014, Judge Leslie M. Alden, Senior Lecturer in Law at the School of Law, delivered a lecture to a group of High Court Judges from Beijing, China. The lecture was on Rules of Evidence in the United States and their relationship to China’s Evidentiary Reforms. The delegation was sponsored in Washington, D.C. by the International Judicial Academy. Judge Alden has been a member of the IJA Board of Directors for several years.
Later in the month, Judge Alden addressed a delegation of judges, academics, and court administrators from Bosnia-Herzegovina on Gender and Justice Reform in BiH. The delegation was co-sponsored in Washington, D.C. by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training, and the Geneva Center for Democratic Control of Armed Forces.
