Mossoff Testifies Before House Committee on Energy & Commerce

Professor Adam Mossoff testified on Thursday, May 22 before the Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee in the U.S. House of Representatives. The subcommittee’s hearing reviewed a draft bill that addresses patent demand letters from patent assertion entities, also known as patent trolls.

In his testimony, Mossoff said, “Congress should tread carefully in considering a bill that threatens to sweep within its prohibitions and sanctions the reasonable licensing and assertion activities of legitimate patent owners.”
