Somin Discusses New Book on Eminent Domain

In a Daily Progress article, Professor Ilya Somin discusses the 2005 U.S. Supreme Court case of Kelo v. City of New London, the subject of his forthcoming book entitled The Grasping Hand: Kelo v. City of New London and the Limits of Eminent Domain.

Arguing that the eminent domain case was wrongly decided, Somin said, “The property was supposed to spur economic development, but almost a decade later, there has been absolutely no development on the site.”
