Zywicki on EU Regulation Affecting Payment Cards

In a new opinion piece in City A.M. (London), Professor Todd Zywicki discusses a proposed EU regulation to reduce transaction charges paid by merchants when consumers use payment cards. “While large retailers [in the UK] would likely benefit, consumers, smaller merchants and the economy as a whole would lose. And the biggest losers would be the poor,” Zywicki and his co-authors wrote.
