David Rehr Joins Faculty as Professor of Law & Senior Associate Dean
David Rehr, PhD has been appointed to the position of Professor of Law and Senior Associate Dean of the George Mason University School of Law.
Professor Rehr comes to us with tremendous advocacy and academic credentials. He has had a successful career as an advocate for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), as President of the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), and as President & CEO of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).
Most recently, David served as the Program Director, Advocacy in the Global Environment, at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. David has guest lectured on advocacy at America’s top colleges and universities. He is the author of “The Congressional Communications Report,” landmark research on communication methods and preferences of congressional offices, their staff, and those working to influence them. David holds a PhD in economics from George Mason University. You can find out more about his background here.
Professor Rehr will also serve as Senior Associate Dean, working with our team and faculty to further build on our reputation, continue to raise our visibility in Washington, and serve as the “Chief Operating Officer” of the school. Professor Rehr will be teaching courses on Legislative Advocacy, Strategic Leadership in Washington, and overseeing the Capitol Hill/Association Externship program.
