Biographical Sketch

Rachelle Holmes Perkins is an Associate Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs & Programming at Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. She joined the law faculty in 2008 after serving as a Transactional Studies Research Fellow at Columbia Law School.   Prior to her fellowship at Columbia she worked as a tax associate with King & Spalding, LLP, in Washington, DC and with Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York.  Professor Perkins’ research focuses on the intersection of social, budgetary and enforcement issues and the tax code, and her articles have appeared in journals including the Columbia Journal of Tax Law, the Kansas Law Review, and the BYU Law Review.  Her teaching includes courses in corporate tax, federal income tax, international tax, and professional responsibility.  Professor Perkins received her BS in Mathematical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill  and her JD from Columbia Law School.
