2012 Fall Semester
- Friday, August 10 - Saturday, August 11 — Orientation
- Thursday, August 16 — Fall semester classes begin. Last day to pay fall tuition without late fee. Last day to file Domicile Appeal for Fall 2012 semester.
- Friday, August 24 — Last day to add fall courses. Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refund.
- Friday, August 31 — Last day to drop fall courses without academic approval. Last day for 67% tuition refund (33% tuition liability).
- Monday, September 3 — Labor Day — University Closed
- Friday, September 7 — Last day to drop a course (with academic approval) and receive a 33% tuition refund (67% tuition liability). After September 7, there is no tuition refund and 100% tuition liability.
- Monday, October 1 — December graduation applications distributed. Due in Records Office by October 19.
- Monday, October 8 — Fall Recess.
- Tuesday, October 9 — Observe a MONDAY schedule.
- Wednesday, November 21 - Sunday, November 25 — Thanksgiving recess.
- Thursday, November 29 - Observe a MONDAY schedule.
- Friday, November 30 - Observe a TUESDAY schedule; Fall semester classes end.
- Saturday, December 1 - Sunday, December 2 — Reading days.
- Monday, December 3 — Wednesday, December 19 — Examinations.
(The last scheduled exam is Monday, December 17. December 18 & 19 are reserved for make—up exams due to schedule conflicts and inclement weather.) - Thursday, December 20 — Fall graduation. (Note: The 2013 Spring commencement ceremony includes all academic year 2012—13 graduates. There are no separate ceremonies for December and July graduates.)

2013 Spring Semester

- Tuesday, January 15 — Last day to add spring courses. Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refund
- Monday, January 21 — Martin Luther King Birthday observed — University closed.
- Tuesday, January 22 — Last day to drop spring courses without academic approval. Last day for 67% tuition refund (33% tuition liability).
- Tuesday, January 29 — Last day to drop a course (with academic approval) and receive a 33% tuition refund (67% tuition liability).
After January 29 there is no tuition refund and 100% tuition liability. - Friday, February 1 — May and July graduation applications distributed. Due in Records Office by February 15.
- Monday, March 11 — Sunday, March 17 — Spring recess
- Tuesday, April 23 — Spring semester classes end. Observe a Wednesday schedule.
- Wednesday, April 24 - Thursday, April 25 — Reading days.
- Friday, April 26 - Tuesday, May 14 — Examinations

- Friday, May 24 — Last day to add or drop summer courses without academic approval. Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refund. After May 24, there is no tuition refund and 100% tuition liability.
- Monday, May 27 — Memorial Day — University Closed
- Thursday, July 4 — Independence Day — University Closed
- Tuesday, July 9 — Summer term classes end. OBSERVE A THURSDAY SCHEDULE.
