Academic Year 2007-2008 

2007 Fall Semester

  • Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18 - Orientation
  • Wednesday, August 22 - Fall semester classes begin. Last day to pay fall tuition without late fee.
  • Thursday, August 30 - Last day to add fall courses. Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refund.
  • Monday, September 3 - Labor Day - University Closed
  • Thursday, September 6 - Last day to drop fall courses without academic approval. Last day for 67% tuition refund (33% tuition liability).
  • Thursday, September 13 - Last day to drop a course (with academic approval) and receive a 33% tuition refund (67% tuition liability). After September 13, there is no tuition refund and 100% tuition liability.
  • Friday, October 5 - December graduation applications distributed. Due in Records Office by October 19.
  • Monday, October 8 - Fall Recess.
  • Tuesday, October 9 - Observe a MONDAY schedule.
  • Wednesday, November 21 - Sunday, November 25 - Thanksgiving recess.
  • Tuesday, December 4 - Fall semester classes end.
  • Thursday, December 6 - Friday, December 21 - Examinations. (The last scheduled exam is Wednesday, December 19. December 20 & 21 are reserved for make-up exams due to schedule conflicts and inclement weather.)
  • Friday, December 21 - Fall graduation. (Note: The 2008 Spring commencement ceremony includes all academic year 2007-08 graduates. There are no separate ceremonies for December and July graduates.)
  • December 25 - January 1 -  University Closed

2008 Spring Semester

  • Monday, January 7 - Spring semester classes begin. Last day to pay spring tuition without late fee.
  • Tuesday, January 15 - Last day to add spring courses. Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refun
  • Monday, January 21 - Martin Luther King Birthday observed - University closed.
  • Tuesday, January 22 - Last day to drop spring courses without academic approval. Last day for 67% tuition refund (33% tuition liability).
  • Tuesday, January 29 - Last day to drop a course (with academic approval) and receive a 33% tuition refund (67% tuition liability). After January 29, there is no tuition refund and 100% tuition liability.
  • Friday, February 1 - May and July graduation applications distributed. Due in Records Office by February 15.
  • Monday, March 10 - Sunday, March 16 - Spring recess
  • Monday, April 21 - Spring semester classes end.
  • Tuesday, April 22 - Thursday, April 24 - Reading days/Snow days.
  • Friday, April 25 - Wednesday, May 14 - Examinations (The last exam is scheduled for May 12. May 13 & 14 are reserved for makeup exams due to schedule conflicts and inclement weather.)
  • Saturday, May 17 - School of Law commencement ceremony for December 2007, May 2008 and July 2008 graduates.

2008 Summer Term

  • Monday, May 19 - Summer term classes begin. Last day to pay summer tuition without late fee.
  • Friday, May 23 - Last day to add or drop summer courses without academic approval. Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refund. After May 23, there is no tuition refund and 100% tuition liability.
  • Monday, May 26 - Memorial Day - University Closed
  • Friday, July 4 - Independence Day Holiday - University Closed
  • Monday, July 7 - Summer term classes end.
  • Thursday, July 10 - Monday, July 14 - Examinations
  • Monday, July 14 - Summer graduation. (Note: The spring 2008 commencement ceremony includes all academic year 2007-08 graduates. There are no separate ceremonies for December and July graduates.)

2008 Fall Semester
