Biographical Sketch

David Hull serves as the law school’s Senior Associate Dean, having assumed the role in October 2024. A member of the senior management team of the law school, he also serves concurrently as the Associate Dean for Academic Administration.

Mr. Hull joined the law school in 2022 as the Director of Academic Administration, and was promoted to Assistant Dean of Academic Administration in 2023. He came to Scalia Law from Northern Virginia Community College, where he served as the Associate Director of Dual Enrollment. From 2016 to 2021, he served as the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, a national non-profit youth development organization. In this role, he directed Sea Cadet headquarters and field operations, developed and enforced policy, led a from-scratch curriculum overhaul, and served as principal investigator on more than $25 million in federal grants. He previously held a faculty appointment in the Criminal Justice Department at Saint Anselm College, where he taught undergraduate criminology, law, and statistics courses from 2009 to 2016. Mr. Hull also lectured at the University of Maryland’s Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice from 2008 to 2009.

David Hull earned his BS and MS in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, his MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, and his JD from Boston College Law School. He is currently enrolled in Mason’s PhD program in Education, with concentrations in Higher Education and Education Policy.
