The Development and Alumni Relations staff at the Scalia Law School seeks to foster a spirit of loyalty, involvement, philanthropy, and life-long commitment to George Mason. The staff, working in conjunction with the students, faculty, administration, and alumni of George Mason, provides a variety of services and benefits to keep you connected with the law school and your fellow alumni.


Alumni Directory

The Scalia Law School Online Alumni Directory includes information on over 7,300 alumni, and it is completely free for law school alumni and students to use. This is the most comprehensive and detailed alumni directory that the law school has ever created. If you have graduated from the law school, you can go directly to our Law Alumni Directory site to sign up and request a password.

Mason Email Accounts

Alumni who graduated after Dec 2010 have continued access to lifetime MasonLive email. You should access your account directly from the Window’s Live website at The University cannot provide email accounts for alumni who graduated before 2010. To forward your e-mail from MasonLive to another mail system, you can setup mail forwarding from within MasonLive. Alumni Networking Events and Celebrations

Throughout the year the law school hosts or co-sponsors a number of law alumni networking receptions.  In addition, the law school sponsors lunch for alumni during both days of the Virginia Bar examination and hosts a free breakfast for alumni and their family members at the biannual Virginia Bar Swearing-In Ceremonies in Richmond.  To keep abreast of these and other current events and celebrations visit the calendar of events.

Continuing Legal Education Courses

Throughout the year the law school, student organizations, and/or the Law Alumni Association sponsor a number of CLE courses at a discounted rate for alumni.  

Insurance Plans

The George Mason University Alumni Association has partnered with various insurance companies to provide discounts plans to Mason alumni. Plans for health, life, and auto insurance are available at reduced rates.


Career Services for Alumni

The Career Services staff assists students in their job searches, but it also serves alumni seeking to pursue new and different professional opportunities that best suit their needs. Career Services for Alumni include:

  • Resume and Cover Letter Review
  • Mock Interviews with Fellow Alumni
  • Access to the Scalia Law Career Advisory Network
  • Facilitating reciprocity requests
