Biographical Sketch
Erin Meyers Matsick is an Assistant Professor of Law at Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, where she teaches Torts, Criminal Law, and Juvenile Justice. Her research focuses on deterrence, addiction, and criminal justice reform. Professor Matsick’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in journals including the Cardozo Law Review, Cornell Law Review, Hastings Law Journal, and Minnesota Law Review, among others.
Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Matsick worked as an Associate practicing Health Care Regulatory Law at Hogan Lovells in Washington, D.C., and clerked for the Honorable A. Marvin Quattlebaum, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She worked as an actuarial consultant for Towers Watson before her career in law.
Professor Matsick earned a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia (2013) and a JD/PhD in Law & Economics from Vanderbilt University (2021).
