Biographical Sketch
Ewa Rejman, is a scholar of international human rights law, with particular expertise in socioeconomic rights, the intersection of law and bioethics, and religious freedom. She holds a Doctor of Juridical Science (J.S.D.) and an LL.M. (magna cum laude) in International Law and Human Rights from the University of Notre Dame Law School. She also earned a Master of Laws from the University of Wroclaw in Poland, with an additional period of studies at the University of Bologna in Italy.
Dr. Rejman has served as a Consultant to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. She was a Fellow at the Nanovic Institute for European Studies and an Affiliate of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies. Her experience also includes work with the Global Human Rights Clinic at the University of Notre Dame and service at the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York, where she focused on human rights and international development.
Her doctoral dissertation examined how international law can be interpreted and applied to ensure the protection of mothers’ socioeconomic rights. Her scholarship has appeared in the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy, the George Mason International Law Journal, the Mercer Law Review, and Studia Iuridica, among others.
