Scalia-Ginsburg Colloquy to Explore SCOTUS Tariffs Decision

Plan to join us via Zoom on Tuesday, March 24 from 5:15–6:30 p.m. EDT for our Scalia-Ginsburg Colloquy, which explores the Supreme Court’s recent tariffs decision.

The distinguished panel for the Colloquy consists of Scalia Law Professor Ilya Somin, who served as co-counsel to the prevailing parties in the litigation, and Chad Squitieri, assistant professor of law at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. The Colloquy will be moderated by Jason Willick, legal affairs columnist for The Washington Post.

The inspiration for the Colloquy grew out of the enduring friendship between the late U.S. Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Their legendary camaraderie survived despite their sharp differences on the bench.

Drawing from their example, Scalia Law established the Colloquy with the generous support of the Scalia and Ginsburg families. It serves as a platform for constitutional law experts to engage in substantive, yet civil, discussions covering various facets of significant legal issues. This Colloquy is the ninth in a series dating back to June 2023.
