Biographical Sketch
J. Michael Connolly is a counsel at Consovoy McCarthy PLLC. Mr. Connolly assists clients with a variety of litigation, appellate, and regulatory matters. He has a diverse practice encompassing a wide array of subject areas, including constitutional law, administrative law, arbitration law, employment law, and election law. Mr. Connolly has litigated numerous cases raising novel and complex issues involving the First, Fourth, Fifth, Tenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments, as well as the Federal Arbitration Act, the Voting Rights Act, the Communications Act, and the Dodd-Frank Act. In addition, Mr. Connolly frequently represents parties and amici in the U.S. Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Connolly is a former law clerk to Judge Jerome A. Holmes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Connolly is also the assistant director of the George Mason University School of Law Supreme Court Clinic. Mr. Connolly was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in the field of constitutional law for 2015.
Mr. Connolly earned his BA from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with distinction, and his JD from New York University School of Law. Mr. Connolly is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bars.
