Stephen Shannon

Biographical Sketch

The Honorable Stephen C. Shannon is a Judge of the 19^th Judicial District of Virginia and a Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Law at Antonin Scalia Law School. He is a 2020 recipient of the Teacher of Distinction Award by the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning at George Mason University. Judge Shannon holds degrees from Fairfield University (B.A.), Georgetown University (M.P.P.), and the University of Virginia (J.D.). He was a member of the Virginia Law Review, editor-in-chief of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law and a John M. Olin Scholar and Fellow in Law & Economics while in law school.
