Laptop Printing

Printing from Mac and Windows laptops to the Canon multifunction devices is available to students. The print drivers can be downloaded from this site: printandmail.gmu.edu. If you have been using the older Pay-For-Print drivers, be sure to delete them before installing the new ones.

Mason ID Cards

Your Mason ID Card can be used for self-service copying/printing with the Canon multifunction devices, and microfiche printing. To add money, go to Mason Money Online, and, using a credit card, add the amount you choose.

Mason Money Cards

You can purchase a new Mason Money Card and add value at the vending Mason Money Station (Teller) or online using a credit card. A Teller, transactions only via credit card (no cash), is located in the Founder’s Hall lobby beside the self-service copier next to the Barnes & Noble bookstore.

If you purchase a card, the customer number on the back of the card is your account. The Patron Default number is your PIN. Write these numbers down and keep them in a safe place in case you lose your card. You can also add value to your account online with a credit card at Mason Money Online.

Copyright Restrictions

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
