GAI Holds Economics Institute In California

The Global Antitrust Institute (GAI) hosted an Economics Institute for Competition Enforcement Officials June 24 - 29 in Santa Monica, California. The international economics education program covered topics such as cost, production and supply, horizontal mergers, vertical restraints, and the interaction of antitrust and intellectual property law. Twenty-three competition enforcers from nine countries participated.

Professors Bruce Kobayashi, John Yun, and Judge Douglas Ginsburg teach foreign judges and competition enforcers, the economic foundation of competitive analysis. They have conducted economic education programs for judges and competition enforcers from: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore, and Vietnam.
