Professor Yun to Testify Before House Judiciary Committee on Digital Streaming Competition

Professor John M. Yun will testify before the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The hearing, titled ”Full Stream Ahead: Competition and Consumer Choice in Digital Streaming,” is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building. At the hearing, Professor Yun will provide expert testimony regarding the competitive landscape of digital streaming services and how antitrust law relates to this consumer-facing industry. The hearing comes amid Netflix’s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. properties, including HBO Max.

A leading expert in antitrust law, Professor Yun previously served as the Acting Deputy Assistant Director in the Bureau of Economics, Antitrust Division, at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). His scholarship focuses on the intersection of antitrust, intellectual property rights, and digital markets.

Professor Yun will appear alongside other industry experts, including Jessica Melugin of the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Jay Ezrielev of Elevecon.
