Professor Kochan Moderates Civic Organization Panel Featuring Distinguished Alum
On January 8, 2026, Professor Donald Kochan moderated a panel for the Prince William Committee of 100 — a civic organization that describes itself as a “resource to connect citizens with community leaders while helping to educate the public about local affairs that affect the livelihood of those who live and work in Manassas, Manassas Park and Prince William County, VA.” The panel was held in Woodbridge, Virginia and titled “The Proposed Virginia Reproductive Freedom Constitutional Amendment.” Panelists included The Honorable Ken Cuccinelli, former Attorney General of Virginia and Scalia Law Alum, Class of 1995, and Ms. Susan Muskett, former Senior Legislative Counsel for the National Right to Life Committee.
Organizers reached out to Professor Kochan to act as a neutral moderator due to his expertise researching and teaching state constitutional law. An impressive crowd of local citizens from diverse perspectives attended and asked questions to learn more about the issue and the process for amending Virginia’s constitution.
