Best Wishes to Professor Parker on His Retirement

Professor Jeffrey S. Parker

After 30 years of service to the law school, Professor Jeffrey Parker begins retirement February 1, 2021. Known for his litigation prowess, Professor Parker entered legal education after having practiced with Sullivan & Cromwell and Sacks Montgomery in New York City. He had also served in the federal government as deputy chief counsel (1987-88) and consulting counsel (1988-89) to the U.S. Sentencing Commission. Professor Parker earned his BIE from the Georgia Institute of Technology (1975) and his JD from the University of Virginia (1978).

Through the years, Professor Parker’s research and teaching interests have focused on civil procedure, criminal law, and sentencing. Alumni comment most frequently about the lessons learned in his evidence class.
