Exciting Winter Term Opportunities Underway
Scalia Law’s winter term for students is in progress with some new offerings and exceptional new faculty:
Kellye Testy, President & CEO of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and former Dean of the University of Washington School of Law, leads a course on “Leadership and Management Skills for Lawyers” that is helping to prepare Scalia Law’s future graduates for leadership positions in multiple contexts.
Jina Hwang, Senior Counsel at the Office of Inspector General of the Federal Reserve Board and Consumer Protection Financial Bureau, joins us for a class in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion that includes an experiential opportunity for students to draft DEI plans for Commonwealth agencies in consultation with the Virginia Secretary of Education, Atif Qarni, and Virginia’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, Dr. Janice Underwood.
Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton of the United States Court of Appels for the Sixth Circuit is leading a course in state constitutional law. Joined by Professors Kochan and Luther, Judge Sutton is utilizing recent cases and hot topics to explore the nature and significance of state constitutional law.
Additionally, the school continues to offer these popular winter term practice-oriented courses: Business Law Bootcamp; and Legal Profession: Writing Under Pressure.
