Michael Davis Inducted Into Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame

After decades of dedicated service to the Virginia legal community and to the education of future attorneys at Scalia Law, the Virginia Bar Association has named Professor Michael Davis to the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame, Class of 2025. This honor, established by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in 2018, recognizes attorneys with 30 or more years of experience who have had a profound impact on the legal profession within the Commonwealth of Virgina.
Per the Virginia Bar Association’s press release, selection criteria for inclusion include, “career accomplishments, contributions to the profession, contributions to the development of the law, contributions to the bar and the Commonwealth and efforts to increase access to justice.” Professor Davis and his fellow Class of 2025 inductees were celebrated on Friday, May 16 during a luncheon ceremony held at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.
Professor Davis joined Scalia Law as a Senior Lecturer in Law following twenty-four years as an adjunct professor, during which he also maintained an active litigation practice. At the law school, Professor Davis teaches several popular classes, including Trial Advocacy, Civil Procedure, Evidence, and Virginia Practice. Professor Davis also oversees the law school’s Virginia Practice Externship Program and pro bono initiatives. Beyond the classroom, Professor Davis remains active in the local and national legal communities, with memberships in the American, Fairfax and Arlington Bar Associations, the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
